**** LATEST NEWS  ****

Been a busy summer so far and looking forward to playing the excellent RecFest festival on the 26th. Gary ha is invested in a Hofner Club bass to add to his Fender Jazz bass. Great for the sixties sound. May have exciting news concerning Australia. Watch this space.

We are delighted to announce that in September 2017 The Defibs will be rocking the USA! We are in the process of negotiating a mini tour of Florida and already have 3 bookings. We will provide more details when all bookings are confirmed. It will be great for the Americans to see how the British interpret good'ol rock'n'roll and we are looking forward to playing some British classics and some of our original material.  See y'all Stateside.

First booking Friday 8 September at Capt Hiram's Resort.

Happy New Year Defibs fans. We are taking a break from gigging in January to concentrate on working on some new songs. Back on February 3rd at The Bluebird Club in Ferndown followed by Sat 4th in Porlock.

Kirk, Gary & John would like to thank our families, venues that have booked us and all you Defibs fans for your continued support in 2016. The Defibrillators already have 25 gigs for next year but still plenty of slots for all you rock'n'roll fans. Classics and lesser known great songs from the 1950s with a few from the 60s & 70s thrown in for good measure. We play all over the country but love playing locally so all you rock'n'rollers from the South West especially Taunton Yeovil & Glastonbury areas put a word in at your local music venue. You won't be disappointed!

Massive thanks to Matt and staff of The Route 303 Diner Honiton for accommodating The Defibrillators during our photo shoot yesterday. After the shoot we stayed for a meal and the food was amazing. Can highly recommend this restaurant. Also big thanks to photographer Elliott Vitzthum for his hard work & great ideas.

Next we plan to go in the recording studio to update our demo.

John has settled in and feels like he has been with us for years. His drumming style really suits The Defibs style of rock'n'roll.  We are delighted to announce the birth of his daughter Annabel Joan Godfrey. Who arrived at 11:50am 20th June weighing 8lb 10oz. Much love to John, Zoe and family. We played at The Skylark American Night 2016 21st July, some fab American cars, bikes, trucks and dragsters. An annual event so hopefully a regular gig for us as there was a great vibe. Below is the promo video from the gig.

Last night we played a fund raiser event in Bradford Abbas, Dorset. The gig was in St Mary's Church and we weren't expecting the night to be particularly memorable but how wrong we were! The church was built in the 15th Century and is stunning. We had a stage area with lighting set up ready for our performance. We discovered that the gig was to be live streamed to the bar in the village hall opposite, which we thought would result in us playing to an empty church. Wrong again! a few people came in just before we started and as we hit the first note throngs of people entered and rocked from start to finish!! The event was titled "The Church that rocked" and it most certainly did. A great night had by all and generous donations given to fund a defibrillator for the village. We hope the amazing people of Bradford Abbas book us again, we loved it!

Absolutely delighted to announce that after numerous auditions we have found a new drummer, the excellent John Godfrey. His first gig is next Saturday but unfortunately a private gig in Janner country (Plymouth) You will have to wait until 23rd April to see him in action at The Longwell Green Community Centre, or more locally The Yess Club Yeovil on 30th April. Onwards and upwards!

I would like to thank all applicants for their interest and effort, coming from as far afield as Southampton and Tiverton! All very good drummers, making the decision quite difficult. I wish them all the best for the future.

Finally, massive thanks to Nigel Brown and Eric Sharp
for standing in over the past few weeks.

Our drummer Eric has moved on to pastures new and we wish him all the best for the future. We hope to announce details of our new stick man shortly. In the meanwhile former drummers Nigel & Eric will honour our engagements until a suitable replacement is found. NO GIGS WILL BE CANCELLED.

Happy New Year! The Defibs are delighted to report  that we already have over 20 bookings for this year. We hope to introduce some new material in the near future, both covers and self penned. Watch this space.

Kirk, Gary & Eric would like to thank our families and all Defibs fans for your continued support in 2015. Special thanks to our sound guru Jim for all his hard work. We wish you all a very merry Christmas and wish you all the best for 2016. Hope to see you at one of our many gigs already booked for next year and remember, without your support music venues will close and local bands will have nowhere to play. Keep music live!

Sorry to announce that due to our busy schedule and other commitments we have had to cancel our residency at The Pecking Mill on the 1st Thursday of every month. We will endeavour to do the odd gig there as and when but can no longer commit to every month. We would like to take this opportunity to thank landlord Jeff and all regular attendees for their fantastic support. Keep watching Facebook or check out our website for details of all our gigs

Sorry to have to report the death of ex-Defib Pat Murphy after a long battle with Motor Neurones Disease. Pat was one of the founder members and made a significant contribution with his unique style of harmonica and mandolin. Our thoughts are with his family at this tragic time, he was a gentle caring man who will be sorely missed. The Heaven Super-Group has gained another member.

With sadness we say goodbye to drummer Nigel Brown. Nigel has been with The Defibs since the start but recently has found our heavy schedule too demanding and has decided the time has come to call it a day.. We wish him all the very best for the future and will miss his particular style.

But do not despair Defibs fans, we have been blessed with a more than able replacement in Eric Sharp. Eric has been playing drums since the age of 14 and has played in bands of  various genres from soul, through rock & roll to blues. Eric has fitted in remarkably well and we look forward to an exciting future with his driving style. But don't take our word for it, come and see for yourself!.

Eric's profile page is still being compiled and should be completed soon.
